Heineken Brewery
The original Heineken brewery in Amsterdam, dating from 1930. Between
1930-1988 this famous (and very good indeed)and probably most sold
beer in the World beer was made right on this spot. Now on the building
is the Heineken Experience beer museum.
Inside, for an admission price of 10 EUR you can discover the secret
of making one of the best beers in the world. From the big malt silos
to the steering wagons, and of course to the bar where you'll be given
a Heineken beer to "taste", the experience is not so extraordinary,
but surely a pleasant journey into the "beer world".
You get 3 beers and a glass for your visit. While no beer is actually
brewed there it was a very interesting exploring the evolution of
the company. Includes a multi-media look at their ads over the years
and a virutal ride on a a horse pulled carriage.
Plus theres a Heineken souvenir shop.
